Antonio Russi was born in San Severo. He has always loved painting; initially self-taught, he later attended oil painting classes directed by renowned Italian masters like Dino Pasquero and Alfredo Ciocca.

In his works he personalizes the light of colours, so to express an impressionistic outlook on what surrounds him.

Landscapes and seascapes are the main subjects on which his painting moves. The spontaneity and the light of the things he paints reveal their poetic charge, which warms and animates every object.
